As we near the end of another March (the month, in case anyone’s confused), so too must winners at this year’s Independent Games Festival be found. Or some such. What I’m trying to say is that even though GDC was postponed, the IGF Awards ceremony still took place, albeit reformatted as a virtual livestream. Thankfully, said stream has been archived and can be viewed at any time over on YouTube. Groovy tech.
Now, in terms of the actual awards, I have to admit that in spite of having only played the big winner (which, in turn, netted the developer a lovely $10,000) briefly, I still say it was a well-deserved victory. The darn game has charm and style in spades on top of being incredibly creative with its design. Come to think of it, I really should get back to it. Yeah. Well, that’ll have to do for this year’s IGF Awards write-up then!
