Latest Greenlight Batch Brings the Fun Stuff Across Fifty Escapees

August 1st, 2014 Wraithkal News

Remember what happened approximately two wee– oh wait, it was three weeks ago! Anyway, Valve pushed seventy-five titles through Greenlight, and… they’re finally at it again.

Like the previous batch, this one’s full of cool escapees. I mean, Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet! Velocibox! And… wait for it… Solstice! YEAH! None managed to exit limbo though, but oh well. The three I just mentioned are all potentially great up-and-comings, so there’s that. They’re not the only interesting ones either, as indicated by the list way below all these long paragraphs, so be sure to check those out as well. I mean, SOME of you did vote on them after all… right? RIGHT? Good.

But… while a Greenlight batch of this scope is certainly a joyous occasion, there are still plenty which didn’t make it… again. Amongst them are my Stuck In Greenlight Limbo picks – titles I’d really like to see on Steam. So be sure to check those, prior to browsing the list of 75. Remember, your vote matters, and as always, the list below consists of my ‘keep an eye on these’ recommendations.

  • Deadlings – Rotten Edition
  • Deep Space Settlement
  • Karma. Incarnation 1
  • Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet
  • Ninja Pizza Girl
  • Out There : Ω Edition
  • Quantum Rush Champions
  • REVERSE SIDE / ОБРАТНАЯ СТОРОНА
  • Schein
  • Six Miles Under
  • Solstice
  • SunAge: Battle for Elysium
  • The Detail
  • Upside-Down Dimensions

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
