Guess Valve’s fallen in love with the number seventy-five, eh? Seriously, what’s the deal with that? Why not a clean one hundred? But enough of the questions. Each batch pushed through Greenlight is, in my opinion, a cause for celebration, no matter its contents. People enjoy different games after all, although some, well, let’s just say that not all are… created equal.
Yay! Detective Case and Clown Bot in: Murder in the Hotel Lisbon – last week’s limbo pick – is now greenlit! THE… SYSTEM… WORKS! Or not. Dark Age of Camelot and Ultima Online, two ancient MMORPGs believed long dead and abandoned, not only appeared on Greenlight mere weeks ago but for some reason, were just greenlit. Yup. Ride the nostalgia train, people, and enjoy your disappointment. The genre has come a long way since the glory days of these two and trust me, neither title has aged particularly gracefully. Anyway, as always, my ‘keep an eye on these’ recommendations have been listed at the bottom of this article.
Also, while a Greenlight batch of this scope – like the previous – is in fact a joyous occasion, we mustn’t forget about the vast amount of games that didn’t make it… again. Come to think of it, why not pay a visit to my Stuck In Greenlight Limbo picks? They’re titles I’d really like to see on Steam for several reasons, including additional exposure. So do check those out, prior to browsing the list of 75. Remember, your vote matters. No really, it does!
