I believe many, if not most, would run away screaming at the sight of a ghost. Not Riley. Riley is different. Has curiosity gotten the better of her, or is there something else about Josh, a ghost who’s… been dead for as long as he remembers. A terrible and more than a little confusing fate, no doubt, although perhaps the two can solve that and other mysteries as they go for a walk in Ghost on the Shore?
The Rogue Islands. Hardly a confidence-inspiring name for any place, but with Josh roaming the island(s) as a ghost, I guess it’s actually fitting? Well, whatever the case, let’s not forget about Riley, for in spite of being very much alive, she also has a story to tell. Sort of. More like, she has dreams, goals, and more than a few hints of a troubled past that she’s running away from. But exactly what lead to Josh’s death, why are The Rogue Islands entirely devoid of inhabitants, and just what does fate in store for this uncanny duo?
As a team, you and Josh discover the old islanders’ belongings and uncover the stories behind them.
See, here’s the thing… No. I have no idea. I am very interested in finding out, however, exploring every nook and cranny with Riley and Josh across this branching narrative; one with multiple endings, no less, and emotional choices because, well, ghost story. Okay so I doubt that’s the only reason, but you know as well as I that ghost stories have a tendency to be either scary, emotional, or both. Kinda hoping this one turns out to be both.
So, who’s ready for an investigatory trip across The Rogue Islands?
Ghost on the Shore is available on Steam, carrying a $19.99 price tag.
