Subconscious Puzzler ‘Figment’ Gets a New Story in Upcoming ‘Creed Valley’ DLC

Subconscious Puzzler ‘Figment’ Gets a New Story in Upcoming ‘Creed Valley’ DLC

For a while, Dusty and Piper had it good, their adventure through Figment concluded, peace restored and such. But that was then, this is now, and a brand new threat is looming. One that will take our two heroes to Creed Valley to deal with their most dangerous adversary yet. Oh, and you better believe there will be (glorious) singing.

Reaching said encounter, however, is not going to be easy. New traps, enemies, and puzzles await; along with the ability to “control the mind’s two fundamental states”, Open minded and Close minded. Incidentally, having finished the main game fairly recently, I was left longing for more complex puzzles, and it seems this expansion/DLC is going to give me just that.

Our two heroes must travel to Creed Valley – where the mind’s worldview and ideals are formed – to face their most dangerous, singing adversary so far.

That said, even if that does not turn out to be the case, a “brand new Figment chapter with its own contained story” is still guaranteed, much like new singing nightmares (yay!), and “two distinct dimensions to explore”. So basically, more Figment with (potentially) clever twists and turns – something I am more than a little eager to get my hands on. Fortunately, the wait won’t be overly long, Figment: Creed Valley scheduled for release this fall and all.

To make the wait feel shorter, I’d recommend giving this trailer a… listen.

Figment is available on Steam, Switch, and PlayStation 4, carrying a $19.99 price tag.

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
