The time has come to spread your wings and fly. Fly across the endless sky, fly until you can’t fly any more, fly until your wings are sore! Okay, so I don’t think that’ll actually happen in Feather, or at least I’m hoping it won’t as I plan on exploring every inch of its beautifully rendered island… from a bird’s eye view.
Probably not the worst plan as aside from collecting nine unique songs, exploration seems to be the only thing on the menu in this one. Seems incredibly zen-like though, which makes the whole thing undeniably more exciting (wait, what?). No enemies, hazards or other threats either – just you and the sky, night becoming day, eventually giving way to nighttime once more.
Oh, and would you look at those graphics. In the trailer below and the screenshot above. Done? Alright, now tell me that’s not a genuinely groovy-looking island. One I can not wait to float across as I go sailing through the sky in Feather, with or without other birds (like how Journey handles multiplayer, I’d wager), on what is bound to be a grand aerial adventure. How about you?
Feather is available on Steam ($9.99) and Switch ($12.59).
