‘Driftmoon’ Mixes RPG With Adventure and Comedy Aplenty

Quirky RPG, Driftmoon is thy name. I mean, seriously: your party members include a firefly, a panther with a whale-sized ego, and… a skeleton. If that doesn’t spell out ‘quirky’ and ‘completely over-the-top’ for ya, what does? Certainly looks like fun though, and I do wish more RPGs would take themselves less seriously… laughter is the best medicine, ya know.

But unfortunately, all is not fun and games in Driftmoon, because like many RPGs before it, this too tells a tale of an ancient evil about to awaken and destroy the world. While it’s hardly the most original plot, chances are there’ll be a plot twist or two along the way to mix things up, along with plenty of humorous shenanigans – you know, in case the strange mix of characters didn’t make that bit obvious! I mean, a human teaming up with a panther and a firefly?! Yeah… think about that for a minute. Then again, since the world needs saving, who better to do it than the most unlikely of allies?

Driftmoon is an adventure-roleplaying game, full of exploration, smiles and surprises, captivating stories and quests, charming characters, and countless delightful details.
The rich, magical world is filled with captivating personalities, and zillions of things waiting to be discovered!

“Zillions of things”? That’s a lot! But seriously, the game also contains a powerful editor for those looking to flex their creative muscles – can’t wait to see what players end up making! Oh and since the demo also has the editing tools, there’s really no excuse. It can be acquired from the same place as the full game, where plenty of additional information can also be found. So… what are you waiting for? Remember, there are zillions of things just waiting to be discovered!

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
