‘Derrick the Deathfin’ Arrives On PC and Mac With a Splash

‘Derrick the Deathfin’ Arrives On PC and Mac With a Splash

Originally a PSN exclusive, Derrick the Deathfin is finally swimming outside of Sony’s waters, complete with the unique paper-crafting design and fast-paced action of the original PlayStation version.

As Derrick, you’ll be causing mayhem and chaos by leaving a trail of destruction in your wake. Why? It’s simple, really: The murder of your parents have made you snap and now you’re going on a murderous rampage, blaming your actions on their death! But before we get to point fingers at the poor orphan shark, keep in mind that it’s a video game, meaning that whether one plays as a good or evil being is hardly all that important, as long as it’s entertaining. With a total of 32 levels and a bunch of bonus stages unlocked through collectibles, it seems there’s plenty of underwater action to be found here.

Taking the game for a swim on either Windows or Mac will set you back $7.99 from the Humble Store, and I’m sure Different Tuna would greatly appreciate your help in getting Derrick the Deathfin through Greenlight.

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
