Some might say that Dangeresque is an odd name for the protagonist of a point-and-click adventure. They wouldn’t exactly be wrong, although the name of the fella in Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate is still likely far from its most nonsensical aspect.
That said, those old enough to remember browser games of the Flash variety might already be familiar with Dangeresque’s affairs, as Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate – which its name somewhat subtly also hints at – is in fact a re-release of sorts. From fifteen years ago. If you feel old now, all I can say is “welcome to the club”.
Sound mundane? No! Sounds munDANGERESQUE!
Right. Anyway, onto something more important: those fancy “all new graphics, animation, cutscenes, and full voice acting” – do they make a difference? Has time been kind to this bite-sized trilogy of point-and-click adventuring? Only one way to find out! While I don’t specifically mean ‘by watching the trailer’, that would still be a good place to start. It is rather spiffy, after all. And groovy. And full of pixels. 2008 has become 2023. Yup.
Dangeresque: The Roomisode Triungulate is available on Steam and itch.io, for $7.99.
