I hope you’re ready to duke it out with the undead, because Armies of Death just went digital as the latest addition to an already incredible Fighting Fantasy Classics lineup!
Oh, don’t worry: you won’t be going at it by your lonesome, as over the course of this adventure, you’ll be building your own army! Or, since this is Fighting Fantasy, fail to do so and perish at the hands—or blades—of your adversaries. It won’t be easy, although doesn’t that simply make the glory that much sweeter? Provided you are able to emerge from battle in one piece. Which you likely won’t. Even with the quality of life features, this, like every other Fighting Fantasy Classics adaptation, adds, although they are undeniably groovy.
Free Read mode lets you cheat, while the addition of a map makes it easier to figure out where you have (not) been, and across every playthrough, too! On top of that, how about licensed cover artwork by the late, great Christos Achilleos and newly commissioned illustrations by Joshua Wright? Or a fully automated adventure sheet? No fiddling with a pen, paper, or even a pair of dice. Gotta love Tin Man Games‘ Gamebook Adventures engine: all the good stuff from the original and so much new goodness, too.
Last but not least, accessibility, availability, and… may your STAMINA never fail!
Armies of Death (Fighting Fantasy Classics) is available on Steam, Google Play, and iPhone/iPad.
