Chances are the world won’t end in 2023, or even 2024, so how about we have some fun with Apocalypse Jam 2023?
It is, after all, right around the corner, starting in mere days! Are you excited? I mean, okay, if the answer is a resounding ‘nah’, that’s quite understandable. Apocalyptic content isn’t for everyone, although I suppose such a statement could be used regarding just about any and all game jams these days. So, let’s instead assume you’re interested, having made it this far in the article and all.
Apocalypse Jam is about the end of the world in all its forms.
One of the most important things to note when considering participating in Apocalypse Jam 2023 is that, well, to quote the jam page, your submission can absolutely be “something completely off-the-wall”. I like that. There are many ways to depict an apocalypse, so why not get a little creative, a little zany perhaps, with it?
Ah, but we can’t have a jam without at least one theme, can we? I mean, aside from ‘apocalypse’, which is kinda obvious. Right. Anyway, on top of that, three optional subthemes will be announced the day Apocalypse Jam 2023 begins. While optional, these are likely still going to be useful to some, as a way to spur creativity.
