Let’s Hear it for the Groovy Winners of the 21st Annual AGS Awards

Not sure how, but much like last year, I completely missed the live stream of the 21st annual AGS Awards. Fortunately, I managed to dig up a simulcast over on YouTube, courtesy of Khatoblepas, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a watch. So many groovy games were made with Adventure Game Studio in 2021 and what better way to find out who won? I suppose you could just keep reading too… but then you’d miss out on a super lovely ceremony.

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
