Time to Vote in the 2020 IGF and Game Developers Choice Audience Awards

A new year means new awards, and true to tradition, it’s once again time to vote on this year’s Independent Game Festival and Game Developers Choice awards. Best be quick about it too as the voting will close on February 10 at 11:59 pm PT!

Between the 20th annual Game Developers Choice Awards and the 22nd annual Independent Games Festival Audience Awards, there are… oh so many interesting titles – even a few I hadn’t heard about until going through the lists. Very groovy. Oh right, as for the ceremonies themselves: these will begin at 6:30 pm PT on March 18 at GDC 2019, and live-streamed on the official GDC Twitch channel; IGF first, then GDCA. So awesome!

All that said… let’s take a look at the nominees, shall we?

Whenever a big AAA title claims it'll "innovate with groundbreaking features", it usually turns out to be a snore-fest; one which simply mimics other games (poorly). This is where my interest indie game interest comes from: pick a random title from a pile of these, and chances are you’ll end up with something genuinely unique - often for well less than $60 too.
