Your life in 1000xRESIST is relatively simple. Stay in the Garden, serve your function as a WATCHER, and obey the ALLMOTHER. Don’t stray from the path, keep cloning, and nothing will happen. But then one day your closest sister, FIXER, shares a dangerous rumor: someone has tampered with history!
Are you really going to be a good little WATCHER, knowing that, the possibility of it just being a rumor aside? Of course not! It’s time to shift through, well, time, examining memories and inherited histories in vivid detail as you explore dynamic environments across the emotionally complex world within 1000xRESIST. Oh, and maybe find out who’s messed with history. If possible. No pressure.
“Your actions will shape the fate of the next generation”, or so they say. When time, space, memory, and who knows what else can be traversed like this… who’s to say whether you end up shaping the next generation, rather than messing things up so that there won’t even be one? Okay so that’s purely speculation, but you never know with games that feature time travel and/or manipulation. You just never know. It is after all billed as a “hyper-cinematic, narrative adventure”, which has an undeniable ‘nothing is as it seems’ ring to it, among other things.
On a somewhat related note, based on the trailer below and details available elsewhere, I’m not entirely sure as to what to make of the game. In spite of that, I find myself strangely intrigued and curious regarding 1000xRESIST, so I guess their plan did actually succeed, if in some rather roundabout way. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens as its release window grows ever nearer.
1000xRESIST will be phasing through time and memory on Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store, and Switch, come mid-2023.
