New indie games. Steam. You know what to do. And if you don’t: buy them! Ahem. I mean… consider picking some up, eh? Steam is good. We like Steam. Anyway, picks below.
Q.U.B.E. 2 ($24.99)
Q.U.B.E. 2 is the sequel to the hit first-person puzzle game Q.U.B.E. You are Amelia Cross, a stranded archaeologist who has mysteriously awoken among the sand swept ruins of an ancient alien landscape. Together with the distant help of another survivor, Commander Emma Sutcliffe, you must traverse and manipulate the structure of this forgotten world to find a way back home.
Ghost of a Tale ($24.99)
Ghost of a Tale is an action-RPG game in which you play as Tilo, a mouse and minstrel caught up in a perilous adventure. The game takes place in a medieval world populated only by animals, and puts an emphasis on immersion and exploration. It features stealth elements, disguises, conversations with allies and enemies, and quests.
The Long Reach ($14.99)
The Long Reach takes place in New Hampshire, in the fictional town of Baervox. The game draws its inspiration from Lone Survivor and The Cave and all the classical adventures (except that The Long Reach is set in the present day). You don’t play in a post-apocalyptic world or explore a fairy-filled fantasy world. You’re in the thick of it, just around the corner from the place where you buy your groceries.
Loyalty and Blood: Viktor Origins ($9.99)
Years after leaving his family to wander Overworld, Viktor returns home to find his mother has long since passed away and his brother, Zane, has risen from the rank of recruit to commander of the Legion. Although his ascent through the ranks was quick, Zane finds himself struggling with the many pressures that come with his position.
