Many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions; there are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendation(s) from the past week!
Soulless – A Game About Hope
You play as a cute creature called Elin whose main goal is to save his friend, but to do that he has to jump down the rabbit hole into a magical world which is unknown to him. He is guided through the world by a light, that shines with hope, however the further he goes, he realizes the world only gets darker and darker and that he has to face his deepest fears. Fight your fears in boss battles, solve the world’s many puzzles, by combining many different mechanics and learn the truth of the world you are in.
Resin
Resin is an adventure game with a heavy focus on combat and exploration. The main feature of the game is regressive gameplay. As you defeat bosses, the protagonist gradually loses power, health and speed, forcing you to adapt to the ever-changing mechanics. Art and story are heavily influenced by manga Blame!, and gameplay is inspired by such games as Dark Souls, Demon’s Crest and other metroidvanias.
Moonlighter
Moonlighter is a Action RPG with rogue-lite elements about Will, an adventurous shopkeeper, that secretly dreams of becoming a hero. To earn the daily bread, he needs to venture into the dungeons near his town, defeat strange enemies and obtain loot to be sold at his shop. Wisely managing the gold from those sales is the only way he’ll get strong enough to risk into deeper gates and, maybe, open the sealed one.
