It’s a fact that many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions. There are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendations from the past week!
Keep in mind that those listed below are by no means the only new arrivals, simply those I gave my ‘yes’ vote. With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none end up as a potential Stuck In Greenlight Limbo candidate, by voting? Oh and do provide their creators with feedback. I’m sure they’ll appreciate anything, as long as it’s expressed properly (please, be nice).
Catmouth Island: Episode 1 (@Colonthreee)
You play as Mya, a 19 year old student who also has a thing for solving puzzles, and must guide her across the three islands that collectively form the Catface Islands (Catmouth Island being the biggest). Meet and interact with the local population, trek in the mountains and go to the beach; all in the search for that next quest object to complete. :3
Deep Space Settlement (@EvsDss)
You are part of a multi-generational mission to colonize distant regions of space. Your journey brings you to a star cluster rich in resources and lightly populated. Or so it seems. Your goal is clear: setup a space settlement and thrive. Whether you choose to make allies or conquer through supremacy is up to you.
Illuminascii (@depdrawers)
Huge letters loom in the darkness of the RNG. The sinister organisation of the ILLUMINASCII conspire to bring forth a New World Order throughout all the ascii land. As the lowly @ symbol, can you defeat their agents and overturn the conspiracy?
Vintage Year
When a band of criminals known as the “Skull Faction” takes over a wine cellar holding an expensive wine aged through many generations, it seems apparent there is no hope for its recovery. However as mysterious as is this faction of bandits, there are other followers involved that are willing to combat the danger that remains shrouded within the darkness. If recovered safely into the hands of a trustworthy adventurer, the wine would prove to be of a truly vintage year.
Fusion
The gameplay is focused on the separation of the blue and red energies where, To damage something, you use the opposite energy (enemies, obstacles) and to activate something you use the same (gates, switches). There is also the Fusion mode, which gives the game’s name, where the two energies gets merged and becomes purple, affecting both energies and becoming invulnerable for a limited time.
Travelogue
Travelogue is an exploration-focused RPG, combining a sandbox style open world with overarching character-specific goals that can be achieved in a variety of ways. Each character class has a particular thing to achieve – get rich, map the lands, or become a legend – but its up to you to decide how you want to achieve it. Although Travelogue is played as a single player game, the decisions that each player makes feed back into the state of the game world, meaning that the conditions of the game and the tenor of each place changes from playthrough to playthrough based on what the community of players decides to do.
Upside-Down Dimensions (@upsidedown_game)
Upside-Down Dimensions is a highly visual game that combines action, hack n slash, RPG, stealth, platform and puzzles to create a unique and amazing gameplay experience. Play as two characters separated into different dimensions. Flip between these worlds to stop the nefarious Dark Shogun.
Tiamat X (@BBQ_Games)
Tiamat X is a rip-snortin tribute to the side-scrolling shooters of yesteryear, and would be right at home blazing away on the screen of a booming, beer-stained arcade cabinet. As such, your PC will have to do, and it is much to the designer’s regret that he can’t plumb a coin-slot into his rig for that truly authentic seaside amusement-park experience. Get some big speakers, though. Really, we do recommend them for this game.
Blood Star (@bloodstargame)
Blood Star mixes classic “danmaku” shooting gameplay through its barrage of enemy bullets with action role-playing gameplay that provides deep player customization and RPG mechanics. This unique mix of genres provides an intense, fun, and deep experience that will have you coming back for more!
