Many Steam users don’t check or even notice most Greenlight additions; there are simply too many, making it rather time-consuming. Hoping to alleviate this problem somewhat, I bring you The Greenlight Groove, featuring my recommendations from the past week!
Keep in mind that those listed below are by no means the only new arrivals, simply those I gave my ‘yes’ vote. With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none end up as a potential Stuck In Greenlight Limbo candidate, by voting? Oh and do provide their creators with feedback. I’m sure they’ll appreciate anything, so long as it’s expressed properly (please, be nice).
Kiai Resonance (@AbsorbReality)
You take part in multiplayer samurai combats where one hit off-guard is fatal, and several challenges to perfect your skills. The player can change his katana position at any time to adjust to his opponent’s, creating a mind game where you have to anticipate his next attack.
Star Horizon (@tabascocrew)
A struggle between the Inter Galactic Corporation (a.k.a The Federation), which controls the entire galaxy, and the Rebels continues. You assume the role of John, a simple private space-pilot in the service of the Federation. Well.. the word “pilot” might be an overstatement. John’s ship AI – which he calls “Ellie” – takes almost all control of the ship. The space battles are coordinated by Motherships and “pilots” serve the mere role of the shooters (as the AI can’t ‘kill’).
CrossCode (@RadicalFishGame)
Meet Lea as she logs into an futuristic and strange MMO. Follow her steps as she discovers a vast world, meets other players and overcomes all the challenges of the game. Also: Lea can’t speak. Nope, no heroic mime. She is actually mute.
The Floor Is Made of Lava (@SalvadoraStudio)
The Floor Is Made of Lava is an exciting 2D action-platformer that focuses on giving players the tools and opportunities to decide how to proceed through levels. Skill is rewarded and exploration is encouraged! Take on the role of Jimmy as he searches for his brother. Traverse his transformed house, and battle the creatures that have invaded. And mind the lava… it’s a bit hot.
Spirit Parade (@yandere)
The story centers on Nara (her name can be set by the player), a cynical 17-year-old girl who mostly shut herself off from the world after contracting spinal polio at a young age and becoming unable to walk. One night while at a festival in town, her soul is suddenly pulled from her body and transported to the Spirit World, where all the demons and spirits are celebrating a month-long festival. Until the end of this festival, Nara won’t be able to return home…
