The Greenlight Groove: Boson X, Probably Archery, Spheroid and More

Did you know that on average, more than two dozen games are submitted to Greenlight each week? In trying to make navigating so many new arrivals easier, I decided to create The Greenlight Groove, featuring a list of my recommendations.

As you go through the list below, keep in mind that these are simply the ones I might one day buy from Steam and play, not every single Greenlight addition from the past week (hence, “recommendations”). With that in mind, would you kindly help make sure none of them end up as a pick for Stuck In Greenlight Limbo? Either by voting, or by providing their creators with feedback.

Spheroid is a retro shooter game. It takes after game mechanics of Metroid, Starfox 64, Fire Emblem, and Armored Core. The story is about a war between the Spheroid and the Zinth. All of the characters are crystal golems with laser guns. Follow a handful of characters with unique and exaggerated abilities and personalities as they fight to prevent their world from deletion.

SKYJACKER is a first person, free-roaming space simulator that offers intense combat through mercenary missions that have starship pilots hijack, destroy and loot enemy vessels. Players take control of one of the most ruthless pirates in the galaxy, Ael. SKYJACKER’s physics and extensive spaceship customization abilities give space enthusiasts freedom to go beyond the stars like never before.

Festival of Magic
Festival of Magic (FoM) is an original adventure role-playing game in which the players must fight and farm their way to glory. Join Amon, a desert scavenger and his reluctant companion Gnart, as they unravel the ancient mysteries of Umbra – a world divided by light and magic. The game combines turn-based combat and farming gameplay with exploration and puzzle-packed quests. Grow spuds, tend barnacles and use your harvest as powerful ammunition and spells; load your weapons, team up your companions and get ready for an epic adventure.

Probably Archery

Probably Archery (pre-release demo impressions)
Inspired by games like QWOP and Surgeon Simulator 2013, Probably Archery gives the player more control over the minutia of their joint movements. Tons of ridiculous scenarios to conquer, multiplayer battles to fight and brutal target challenges to dominate.
