This time the spotlight will be shining on Merchants & Mercenaries, a hexagonal empire builder that has you take up arms against the barbarian horde (oh boy). Let’s help it escape the cold, lonely emptiness of Greenlight limbo!
Are you a trader or a conqueror? Will you be the first to build a castle and defend it, or just another smouldering pile or ruins? Whatever you do, build your empire fast, the barbarians are coming.
See? Wasn’t kidding about them barbarians. They’re everywhere. Everywhere! Ugh. Seriously though, it’s time to get tactical and fight for the survival of your kingdom/nation/land, because… no one else is going to do it. Be sure to hire a merc for “defensive” (cough!) purposes while you sit there, holed up behind the city (soon to be a castle?) walls, balancing resources, finances and other less exciting things. But hey, someone has to do the books so there’s enough in the vault to pay the mercs. Otherwise, I suspect you’ll be a ruler without a land sooner, rather than later. Oh, and I’m not sure what the deal is with all those caves in the screenshot.
