Exactly one month has gone by since the last one of these, so I figured, what better time for another? Even more so, after I’d gone through my list and found that a grand total of thirty-three games from it had been greenlit. That’s a lot! Time will tell if they can live up to the hype, as most aren’t out just yet.

The Beard in the Mirror is a point-and-click adventure game about a boy who doesn’t know who he is, where he’s going, or how he fits into his world. But not because he’s an amnesiac; he’s just a typical 22-year-old who still doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up.
Shin Samurai Jazz
Shin Samurai Jazz is a platform-adventure game. It combines the likes of film noir and samurai cinema, presenting them with 8-bit graphics, an electro-jazz soundtrack, and a comic/manga-like style creating a unique atmosphere.

We began development on Vinyl by asking the question: how does altering a player’s own music affect how they play a game? Vinyl is a new and playful take on the music game genre which seeks to bridge the gap between gameplay and audio. By creating the game’s world dynamically for every song, the visuals completely mirror the music. By directly manipulating the music based on the player’s performance, the music completely mirrors the gameplay. This uniquely ties audio, visuals, and gameplay in a previously unexplored way.

Geocore
Geocore is a new 6DOF title coming from Anarchy Interactive, a company established to create competition grade games. In Geocore you will be tested against other pilots in classic community favorite maps created by Descent pilots. These are direct conversions, not remakes. This game is intended to be a spiritual successor to the great game Descent and so it is only proper to include maps created by that community.

Sakuya chose to transform into a man. She was excited at first, but then a sudden accident happened and she was trapped with four other men. Later, they decided to partner up and proceed to beat the game in pairs, hoping that it would be the way out.

Steel Assault is a 2D side-scrolling action game for PC, set in the year 2040 after revolts and fascist uprising have shocked the United States. The game mainly focuses on close combat, but the player is also equipped with a variety of different weapons. Its aesthetic is inspired by late 8-bit games on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), such as Shatterhand and Batman. These games utilized heavy dithering and details in negative space to create a dark atmosphere within the system’s limitations.

Survival is important in FutureGrind, but it’s really just the baseline. In order to succeed, you’ll need to get good at doing chains of tricks. Points are awarded to you based on how you grind on the rails. Balance on top of a rail for a Manual. Boost up into the bottom of a rail for an Undergrind. Dangle from the top of a rail for a Hanger, and so on. Rack up long grinds to increase your score. Do flips in the air for big points. Transfer between rails flawlessly to build your chain multiplier. Only skilled players will earn endorsements from The Sponsors and progress through the game.
