There’s only one way to describe what has transpired in Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today, and that is to say that… the world’s gone to hell. Big time. That’s not to say all hope is lost, which is rather fortunate as such would make for a rather pointless adventure; one which has finally graced the Switch with its presence.
As for what’s changed in this port, compared to the version available for desktop, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS, I’m honestly not quite sure. The press release does make mention of how it features “the same visual quality as the PC version and with the controls and interface designed exclusively for console, previously shown on the PlayStation 4 version of the game”, though. So a pretty much unchanged port, save for the controls which have been modified for gamepad over keyboard/mouse? Good enough for me.
If you’re in the mood for a rather depressing, yet entertaining, point ‘n click adventure set in a future no one should have to live through, then Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today might be right up your alley. May want to step on it (in-game) though, as unless Michael – the protagonist – figures out what has caused the world to be on the edge of collapse, and fast, time will be fubar. Completely fubar. There’ll be no coming back from that.
Oh, did I mention how this is definitely not a happy-go-lucky fantasy fairy tale? Quite the opposite, and yet, in spite of having only played a brief bit, the experience… intrigues me. Save the world or die trying!
Dead Synchronicity: Tomorrow Comes Today is available for Switch from the eShop with a $19.99 price tag.
