Angels of Death: Trusting a Killer Might be Your Best Bet at an Escape Plan

Ray and Zack - Angels of Death's two protagonists have, at a glance, little in common. Save for the fact that both have been imprisoned in a location unknown to either individual, that is. The reason? Unknown. All in all, working together is the obvious next step, but that doesn't make it an assured thing. What should, however, is the promise between them: if Ray helps Zack flee, he'll grant her request and send her to heaven (wait, what?).

Sorcery! Update Adds Reasons to Revisit inkle’s Take on the Classic Gamebook Series

Three months ago, inkle released the much-anticipated final chapter of the Sorcery! Saga (and at some point, I will find the time to review it). Done. No more stories to tell - or retell - in what's been quite a grand quest, journey, adventure, or all of the above… right? Not quite, as according to the description of a very recent update, several new areas are now part of the experience! Very groovy.

Welcome to 1950's Ireland, Aidan, and his daughter, Lily. Nothing too out of the ordinary, right? Yeah, happy family, nothing to worry about. Except for the fact that Lily's father has somehow managed to get himself transported into a strange new world. "Oh no!"? Well, such is the way of events in The Little Acre, and needless to say, Lily's determined to follow, maybe even keep them both out of trouble somehow. As if.

Live Long and Prosper: Unity 5.6 Beta Brings Vulkan Support

Something something Spock, no? Alright, enough Star Trek nonsense, as the Unity 5.6 beta isn't really about that. I mean, Vulkan rendering is a thing now, sure, but that's the only thing relating to a certain franchise. The rest of the feature list, beta or not, is still pretty darn groovy, though; so even if you aren't creating something GPU-heavy… eh, take a look anyway. You never know.

Participating In the Google Play Indie Games Contest Might Not be a Terrible Idea

Given the struggle it can be, in this day and age, to be noticed in the mobile market, whether it be the App Store or Google Play, Google's latest effort to assist aspiring indie developers is pretty darn neat. There are a few caveats, though: you must have published a game on Google Play this year, have 15 or less full-time employees, and… something something Europe. But even so, still a very groovy initiative.

Little Briar Rose Revisits the Tale of Sleeping Beauty, Point ‘n Click Style

Unity 5.5’s Release Is Augmented With More Particles Than Ever Before

It feels like Unity 5.4 just left beta, doesn't it? Yeah, but… that was in fact several months ago, and now Unity 5.5 is upon us. What this one brings to the table, on top of performance improvements across the board - especially in the rendering department - is the inclusion of Microsoft Holographic support. That's right: it's time to get augmented, HoloLens style!

Let’s Get It Kickstarted: Mars Underground

First day at a new school - what could possibly go wrong? Bullied? Arrive late to class? Unable to figure out where to go? Or perhaps something far worse? In the case of Mars, definitely far worse: the world ends, and then resets, every night. Does this mean his actions won't have consequences? Is Mars free to do whatever, knowing that no one will remember, come midnight? Maybe. Maybe not. But it'd make a lot more sense, in the long run, to find a way to stop whatever - or whoever - is triggering this cataclysmic event in Mars Underground...

Sentry Knight Tactics Impressions: Hack, Slash, Snipe and Heal

Being warriors of the King's Army isn't the worst gig out there. You get to journey across the land, helping people in need, making the world a better place and all that good stuff. Simple enough and quite manageable. But then one day, some jerk decided to launch an attack from another dimension (wait, what?), basically waving a red flag in front of every last hero in Sentry Knight Tactics.
